Infant School: Reception - Year 2

We are a 2 form entry Infant School (60 children in each year group), although currently we have 3 classes (90 children) in Year 1 and 2 due to a higher level of demand in the local area in these year groups. The Local Authority organises admission on entry to Reception.

Admission Criteria in the case of over-subscription

Where there are more applicants than there are places available, we will offer places based on the following order of priority:

  1. Looked After Children (in public care).
  2. Children with a brother or sister at the school who will still be in attendance at the time the sibling enters the school.
  3. Children who live nearest to the school by straight line measurement.
  4. Should you require a place, parents should complete the relevant documentation.  This can be obtained from the School Office.

Admission to our Nursery class is organised by the school. Should your require a place, parents should complete the relevant documentation available in the school office.

Please note: If your child attends our Nursery, a place in Reception class is not guaranteed as you are required to apply to the Local Authority for admission into Reception.

School admissions for children who are due to start Reception in September of the next academic year are dealt with by

Birmingham City Council School Admissions.
