Vacancy 1

Speech & Language Therapist – Grade 4 £26,470 - £33,136 (PRO RATA)

Term Time Only – 32.5 hours per week - post for 1 year from 1st September 2018

We are seeking to appoint an experienced, enthusiastic, committed and hard-working Speech and Language therapist.

You will:

  • Baseline speech & language of children on entry to school nursery/reception
  • Assess and identify speech & language needs for children across the school
  • Make necessary referrals to NHS Speech & Language Therapists where appropriate
  • Create, implement and monitor speech & language intervention plans
  • Train T/A’s to deliver interventions for speech and language pupils
  • Provide specialist 1:1 speech and language where necessary
  • Regularly review progress of children receiving speech & language and report to SENCo
  • Maintain records, plans and reviews
  • Liaise with other agencies (Multi-Disciplinary Team) providing reports and professional advice to support the SENCo in requests for EHCP’s and attend relevant professional meetings
  • Be able to inspire, challenge and motivate pupils
  • Be committed to high standards
  • Be knowledgeable about how children learn and progress
