This page is dedicated to give you all the information you need about Covid-19, the school's partial closure, plans for phased re-opening (including any letters sent to families), Free School Meal vouchers and links to Covid-19 support.

If someone in your household shows any signs of the virus (high temperature and/ or dry, persistent cough and/or aching/ loss of appetite), then that person must self-isolate for 7 days and the other members of the household must self-isolate for 14 days. None of your household should leave the house for any reason during this time. Note: Self-isolation for a remaining cough after 7 days is not necessary as the cough can linger for a few days, even weeks, after having the virus. Do NOT call 111 unless there are serious concerns - ie the person ill has underlying health issues or the symptoms get worse.

You can get advice online from 111: https://111.nhs.uk/covid-19/.

Trace & test telephone no. for information is 119 and you can get more information HERE

Most people will have mild symptoms and will recover normally.

If your child is due in school and your house is self-isolating, you must ring school to inform us of him/her not attending and the reasons why – as we would normally do for any absence. In the meantime: Please ensure you have instructed your children how to wash their hands correctly as we have been doing in school.

COVID - 19 SUPPORT

How to help your child return to school

In a post-lockdown world, school won't look anything like normal. For some children, that may come as a shock - or even feel scary. So if we want our pupils to return successfully, we need parents to be offering the the right support at home.
Please read this short article called "5 Ways To Help Your Child Return To School Successfully".
It's been specifically written to help parents support their children with worries and anxiety.

We can refer families to arrange extra support during the COVID19 lockdown.

There is funding available for individual families for help with such things as food, nappies, medicines, supplies. There is also community grant funds for voluntary, community and faith groups who are supporting vulnerable families during the Covid-19 emergency. More information, including a map of locality and city-wide contacts is available at www.birmingham.gov.uk/Covid19CYPF
