SEND at Bellfield Infant School
Bellfield Infant School, is an inclusive school that enables all pupils, including all those with additional special education needs and disabilities (SEND) to reach their full potential. We celebrate each pupil’s uniqueness and place them at the centre of their education, tailoring their learning to meet their need.
Out practices and procedures allow for a pupils’ special educational needs to be identified swiftly to highlight their barriers to learning. We acknowledge that some pupils require additional support to ensure access to a broad and balanced curriculum.
If additional specialist advice and support is necessary, we seek external agency support from professionals, such as; speech and language therapist, educational psychologists and specialist teachers.
Supporting families
Here at Bellfield Infant School, we are always ready to offer help and support. We acknowledge that having a child with additional need can be difficult. We are always ready to offer any support or help. This can be done either through speaking to your class teacher or contact Miss Campbell-Kelly (SENDco) through the school office.
Local Offer
The Birmingham Local Offer gives pupils with SEND and their families information about what support services are available in their local area. Every local authority is responsible for producing a SEND Local Offer and making sure it is available for everyone to see.
